🎪 A Trip to the Hill Fair
Every year, a fair is held in Chail Chowk during the Diwali season. Last Sunday, Riya went to the fair with her grandmother. They saw colourful stalls selling toys, bangles and hot jalebis. Riya's favourite stall sold small clay diyas, and she bought five of them for ten rupees each. On the way back, they stopped to watch a puppet show, and Riya laughed so much that her cheeks hurt! She reached home just before it got dark, carrying her diyas carefully so that they would not break.

🐕 A Kind Farmer
Mr. Verma was a farmer who grew wheat and vegetables on his small farm near Mandi. One winter morning, he found a puppy shivering near his field. He wrapped the puppy in his own shawl and carried it home. His wife gave the puppy warm milk, and they named it Sheru. Sheru grew up strong and healthy. Every day, Sheru walked with Mr. Verma to the farm and guarded it from wild animals. The whole village loved Sheru, and everyone said that Mr. Verma's kindness had given him a loyal friend.
