Vocabulary means all the words you know. Every new word is like a new colour in your box 🖍️. The more colours you have, the better your picture! Today you will learn word names, easy spellings, one-and-many words, and boy-girl words.

Fun game at home: pick one room. Point at ten things and say their English names. Ask your mother or father to check you. Do this every day for a week — you will know 70 new words!
Break a big word into small parts. Say each part slowly. Then write it. It becomes easy!
Magic "e" at the end
The "e" is silent, but it changes the first vowel sound.

Two letters, one sound
These pairs always work as a team.

Sleeping letters
Some letters are written but not spoken.

One thing is called singular. More than one is called plural.
🍎 one apple → 🍎🍎🍎 three apples
Naughty words! Some words change fully, and some do not change at all. You cannot guess these — you must remember them: man → men, child → children, tooth → teeth, mouse → mice, but sheep → sheep and deer → deer.
Many words come in pairs — one for a boy or male, one for a girl or female. This is called gender.
